Jazz Jester Jeff Goldblum Reigns @ Rockwell
Jeff Goldblum doesn't perform most Wednesdays @ Rockwell Table & Stage. It's more like he's a jazz jester in a pork pie hat holding court. It's like a dinner party at his house. The show starts @ 9 but around 8 Jeff strolls in and works the crowd. People expect to see Jeff but not for him to appear at their table unannounced. He eventually makes his way to the front of the stage where he takes a seat and ad libs with the always packed house. He muses about movies and baby names and books. Time flies and next thing you know he's behind the 88's @ 9 sharp. On this night he has a special guest girl singer Jesse Palter who tears it up backed by the Mildred Snitzer Orchestra. The maestro of all this is Mastro, John Mastro, who on this night has plotted things down to the heckler comebacks. He is the man behind the curtain directing this unique performer performing uniquely. Oh yeah, how about this name for a girl? Jazz Goldblum. For a boy Jester Goldblum. Or vice versa.
